The oncologic outcomes of cytoreductive prostatectomy (CRP) in oligometastatic prostate cancer (OmPCa) are still controversial. For individuals with prostate cancer opting for active surveillance, a family history of prostate cancer may serve as an independent risk factor associated with an elevated risk of disease progression. Clinicians should be counseled about the increased risk of disease progression in patients with a family history of prostate cancer undergoing active surveillance.

There were significant differences in clinical features between the extensive- and focal-types CG. The extensive type was more often associated with urologic complications. Meanwhile, in the focal type, subsequent urinary tract malignancy might develop during the follow-up period.
