Professor Jong Eun Park's research lab focuses on translational biomedical research with a strong emphasis on neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular disorders, and genetic conditions. The lab investigates the pathophysiology and genetic underpinnings of Alzheimer’s disease, spinal muscular atrophy, and inherited retinal diseases, while also exploring innovative diagnostic tools such as AI-enhanced electrocardiography. A key direction involves identifying genetic variants and biomarkers associated with complex traits and rare diseases, particularly in East Asian populations. The lab integrates clinical research with molecular genetics and bioinformatics to support precision medicine and population-based screening strategies.
