About the Lab
Professor Jun Choi's research lab focuses on neurological and otological disorders, with a strong emphasis on demyelinating diseases, inner ear damage, and aggressive cancers such as anaplastic thyroid carcinoma. The lab investigates cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying remyelination in the central nervous system, ototoxicity in zebrafish models, and the role of ion channels like ANO1 in cancer progression. Background The fndings of head impulse tests (HIT) are usually normal in cerebellar lesions. Case Report A 46-year-old male presented with progressive dizziness and imbalance of 3 weeks duration. Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) is a rare malignancy with very poor prognosis. The exact cause underlying its strong aggressive nature is not clear.
