Professor Jung Won Shin's research lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying age-related skin and neurodegenerative disorders, with a particular emphasis on extracellular matrix remodeling, neuroinflammation, and environmental stressors such as air pollution. The lab investigates the pathophysiological roles of key proteins like tau and collagen, as well as neuroprotective agents such as ginsenoside Rb1 and resveratrol, using advanced molecular and cellular techniques.
