We explored critical care nurses’ experiences with chaplains and perceptions of spiritual care. Photoconducting nanotube devices consisting of a poly(p-phenylenevinylene) (PPV) layer and a carbonized-PPV layer (see Figure) show high photoconductivity efficiencies under illumination by a xenon lamp. This investigation demonstrates the first examples of photoconducting single-bilayer nanotube devices that can be operated over the UV-visible light wavelength range. The bilayer architecture could be useful in photoswitching applications and in nanometer-scale photovoltaic devices.
