About the Lab
Professor Minsu Chang's research lab focuses on public health and mental health policy, particularly in the context of social transitions and national reunification. The lab investigates the psychological and social determinants of health among vulnerable populations, with a special emphasis on post-unification North Korea and the mental health implications of societal transformation. Drawing on cultural adaptation theory and international mental health standards such as the recovery paradigm, the lab develops legal and policy frameworks to promote mental health resilience. Current research also includes health behaviors among healthcare students, such as vaccination intentions in nursing education.
