About the Lab
Professor Ni Eun Seo's research lab specializes in abdominal and musculoskeletal radiology, with a strong focus on advanced medical imaging techniques for the diagnosis, staging, and treatment response evaluation of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases. The lab investigates the diagnostic performance and clinical utility of MRI and CT in conditions such as Crohn’s disease, inflammatory pseudotumors, cholangiopathies, and pancreaticobiliary neoplasms. A central theme is the development and application of non-invasive imaging biomarkers to guide personalized treatment strategies, including organ-sparing approaches after chemoradiotherapy in rectal cancer. The lab also emphasizes comprehensive radiological-pathological correlation to improve diagnostic accuracy and predict clinical outcomes.
