Professor Sae-Yong Jeong's research lab focuses on biomedical materials and advanced drug delivery systems, with a strong emphasis on developing biocompatible and biodegradable materials for therapeutic applications. The lab investigates the biological impacts of microplastics at the cellular level, explores cardiovascular toxicities of emerging therapeutics like remdesivir, and designs innovative biomaterials—such as chitosan- and silk fibroin-based systems—for tissue engineering and controlled drug release.
