About the Lab
Professor Sekyung Lee's research lab focuses on understanding the molecular and clinical aspects of breast cancer, with a particular emphasis on Asian and younger patient populations. The lab investigates tumor heterogeneity, especially in hormone receptor status, HER2 and luminal subtypes, and explores the impact of treatment-related factors such as chemotherapy-induced alopecia and neoadjuvant chemotherapy on patient outcomes. Using integrated genomics, transcriptomics, and clinical pathology, the lab aims to identify biomarkers and improve prognostic models for personalized breast cancer care.
