About the Lab
Professor Seon Pil Jin's research lab focuses on understanding the biological mechanisms underlying human health and disease, with a particular emphasis on immunology, microbiome dynamics, and cellular signaling. The lab investigates the role of gut microbiota in aging and longevity, explores immune system alterations in severe atopic dermatitis using single-cell technologies, and examines post-translational modifications like N-glycosylation in cellular adhesion and skin barrier function. Additionally, the lab contributes to translational research in dermatological conditions, including the immune modulation of viral skin infections such as warts and the clinical application of botulinum toxins in facial aesthetics and hyperhidrosis. These interdisciplinary efforts bridge molecular biology, immunology, and clinical dermatology to uncover novel therapeutic targets and mechanisms.

BACKGROUND: Masseter hypertrophy can be ameliorated by botulinum toxin. OBJECTIVE: To compare the efficacy and safety of RimabotulinumtoxinB (BTX-B) and OnabotulinumtoxinA (BTX-A) in the treatment of masseter hypertrophy. BACKGROUND: Efforts to profile atopic dermatitis (AD) tissues have intensified, yet comprehensive analysis of systemic immune landscapes in severe AD remains crucial.
