Professor Seung-Joon Lee's research lab focuses on vascular biology and translational medicine, with a central emphasis on endothelial dysfunction in critical diseases such as sepsis, myocardial infarction, and diabetes. The lab investigates molecular mechanisms underlying vascular integrity, angiogenesis, and inflammation, particularly through key regulators like angiopoietin-2 and Tie2 receptor signaling. Innovative therapeutic strategies—including novel antibodies and ultrasound-mediated drug delivery—are developed to protect the vasculature and improve outcomes in acute and chronic cardiovascular and metabolic disorders.
