재분배 선호 및 정치적 성향 결정요인 분석

본 논문에서는 재정패널 9차년도 자료를 활용하여 가구 및 개인의 다양한 특성이 재분배 선호와 정치적 성향에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 우선 예상했던 대로 소득이 높을 수록 재분배 선호가 낮아지는 경향이 나타났다. 그리고 향후 우리나라에서 소득 격차가 더 커질 것이라고 전망할수록 재분배 선호는 높아졌다. 이러한 재분배 선호가 정치적 성향(보수 또는 진보)에 미치는 영향은 세대 간 뚜렷한 차이를 보였다. 50세 미만 세대의 경우 재분배 선호가 높아질수록 정치적으로 진보적일 확률이 높아졌다. 반면 50세 이상 세대의 경우 재분배 선호가 높아질수록 정치적으로 보수적일 확률이 높아졌다. 재분배 선호가 높을수록 뚜렷한 이념적 성향을 갖는다는 점은 같지만, 그 방향은 정반대인 것이다. 이는 향후 우리나라 국민들의 재분배 수요가 커짐에 따라 세대 간 정치적 양극화는 더욱 커질 수 있다는 점을 시사한다.
