About the Lab
Professor Seung-Won Oh's research lab focuses on metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, with a strong emphasis on the interplay between metabolic syndrome, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and cardiometabolic risk factors. The lab conducts large-scale genetic studies, including genome-wide association studies (GWAS), to identify genetic markers linked to metabolic disorders, particularly in Korean populations. Additionally, the lab investigates the safety and long-term outcomes of antidiabetic and psychotropic medications, using advanced epidemiological methods such as network meta-analysis and systematic reviews.
