About the Lab
Professor Sinhae Kang's research lab focuses on vascular and metabolic inflammation, particularly examining the role of endothelial and lymphatic endothelial cells in immune regulation and tissue repair. The lab investigates mechanisms underlying subclinical atherosclerosis, insulin resistance, and the impact of conditions like normal-weight obesity and *Helicobacter pylori* infection on vascular health. A key research direction involves enhancing tissue regeneration through endothelial progenitor cell therapy, especially in islet transplantation for diabetes.
