About the Lab
Professor Sung-Bon Ko's research lab specializes in the neuropsychological and neuroimaging investigation of non-motor and visuospatial dysfunctions in Parkinson’s disease. The lab focuses on identifying early biomarkers of disease progression, particularly through the assessment of non-motor symptoms, cognitive impairment, and stereopsis deficits. Using tools such as the Non-Motor Symptoms Questionnaire, computerized dynamic posturography, and voxel-based morphometry, the lab explores the structural and functional brain correlates of these dysfunctions. A key research direction involves linking clinical phenotypes with neuroanatomical changes and modifiable risk factors to improve early diagnosis and prognosis in Parkinson’s disease.
