Sungjeong Kang

Professor Sungjeong Kang's research lab focuses on improving patient and healthcare provider outcomes through evidence-based nursing education and psychosocial support. The lab investigates key areas such as psychological safety in simulation-based learning, nursing intention in high-acuity settings (e.g., emerging infectious diseases), palliative care attitudes among neonatal nurses, quality of life in cancer survivors, pregnancy stress, and LGBTQ+ health education in nursing. A central theme across the research is enhancing empathy, preparedness, and cultural competence in nursing practice through targeted educational interventions.
