About the Lab
Professor Suyun Lee's research lab focuses on translational biomedical research with a strong emphasis on clinical pharmacogenomics, maternal-fetal health, and metabolic liver diseases. The lab investigates genetic polymorphisms—particularly CYP2D6—to personalize drug therapy, explores the impact of micronutrient status (such as vitamin D and trace elements) on pregnancy outcomes, and develops novel cellular therapies for glycogen storage diseases. The lab also examines molecular mechanisms underlying diabetic nephropathy, aiming to identify therapeutic targets through preclinical models.

Glycogen storage disease type I (GSD-I) is a group of autosomal recessive disorders with an incidence of 1 in 100,000. The two major subtypes are GSD-Ia, caused by a deficiency of glucose-6-phosphatase (G6Pase), and GSD-Ib, caused by a deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate transporter (G6PT). 본 연구에서는 토착 심리학적 관점에서 성인 초기 대학생에게 사용할 수 있는 행복 척도를 개발하고 타당화 하였다. 먼저 문헌 연구와 FGI를 통해 설문문항 102개를 추출하였다. 예비검사로 565명 남녀 대학생의 설문조사를 통해 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하여 전공만족, 외모지향, 사회성, 가족관계, 성취지향, 이성친구의 6요인에 대한 23문항을 구성하였다. 378명 남녀 대학생에게 본 검사를 실시하여 행복 척도에 대한 양호도 분석을 실시하고, 구인타당도 검증을 위해 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 우리나라 대학생의 행복 요인구조는 6요인이 적합한 것으로 확인되었다. 각 요인에 해당되는 문항의 요인계수도 적절한 수준을 보였으며, 하위요인별 내적합치도도 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 분석 결과에 대해 요약하고 대학생들이 지각하는 6개 요인이 갖는 의미에 대해 논의한 후 연구의 의의와 한계, 후속연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.
