본 연구는 개인주의, 공동체주의, 세계시민주의가 사회통합에 미치는 영향에 대하여 국가간 비교를 통한 실증 분석을 실시하였다. 개인의 행복, 타자에 대한 포용, 사회체제에 대한 신뢰를 사회통합의 세 가지 핵심 요소로 간주하고, 개인, 국가, 공동체, 세계사회에 개인이 정체성을 부여하는 방식에 따라 사회통합이 이루어지는데 미치는 영향은 달라질 것으로 가정한다. 37개국 자료를 통합한 세계가치관조사(world value survey)를 이용한 실증 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 극단적인 개인주의는 사회통합에 전반적으로 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 국가에 대하여 정체성을 부여하는 국가주의는 개인의 행복과 사회체제에 대한 신뢰는 높이지만 포용성을 감소시킨다는 점을 확인하였다. 셋째, 공동체의 소속감과 참여를 강조하는 공동체주의는 자발적인 참여를 전제로 할 경우 신뢰와 행복 수준을 높이지만, 구속력 높은 연결망에 매몰될 경우 포용성을 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으

본 연구는 효율성 제고와 책임성 강화라는 두 가지 요인이 공공 및 민간부문 인적자원관리제도의 변화를 추동하고 있음에 주목하고, 인적자원관리를 통한 혁신이 조직유형에 따라 어떻게 다르게 나타나는지를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 공공부문과 민간부문 모두 효율성과 책임성을 동시에 강화하는 인적자원관리 혁신이 진행되고 있음을 확인하였다. 민간부문의 경우 사회적 정당성 확보를 위한 과정인 동시에 기능적 필요와 조직성과 제고를 위한 전략의 일환으로서 인적자원관리 혁신이 추진되고 있다. 이에 반해 공공부문에서는 기능적 필요보다는 규범적·제도적 환경으로부터의 압력에 대응하여 인적자원관리 개혁을 추구하는 경향이 나타났다. 이상의 분석결과는 공공부문의 경우 효율성 증진 및 책임성 확대라는 다양한 사회적 기대에 부흥하기 위해 유사한 다른 조직들이 채택한 각종 인적자원관리제도를 그대로 답습함으로써, 형식적 제도 변화만을 초래하고 실질적인 효과성을 확보하지 못하는 인적자원관리제도의 혁신과 운영에 있어 딜레마가

In this nationwide representative cohort study, blood transfusion was performed in 75% of hip fracture patients. Even after adjusting for comorbidity and anticoagulant use, the postoperative results (hospitalization, mortality) of the transfusion group did not show significantly worse results than the non-transfusion group. Therefore, adequate patient blood management can only improve the patient's outcome after hip fracture surgery.

The prevalence of pneumonia in elderly hip fracture patients was 11.05%. Men had higher incidence (16.39%) than women (9.29%). Compared to non-pneumonia patients, the pneumonia patients had higher 30-day to 1-year mortalities with aRR of 2.31 to 3.40. They had increased mortality in all age groups older than 65 years with aRR of 1.52 to 4.08. Both genders of pneumonia patients had higher risk of mortality (aRR, 3.63 in men and 3.27 in women) compared to non-pneumonia patients.

BACKGROUND/AIMS: Current evidence suggests that liver cirrhosis (LC) causes severe psychological stress and depression, which are risk factors for suicide. Although previous studies reported the association between LC and suicidal thoughts, little is known of its effect on suicidal deaths.
