About the Lab
Professor Yoo Kyung Jeon's research lab focuses on gastrointestinal and immunological disorders, with a strong emphasis on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), intestinal fibrosis, and the immunomodulatory roles of pattern recognition receptors such as TLR4. The lab investigates the pathophysiology of chronic intestinal inflammation, pharmacogenomics of drug metabolism (e.g., CYP2C19 and CYP3A4 interactions), and the clinical management of IBD, including biologic therapy persistence and infectious complications. The research integrates preclinical models, human cell studies, and real-world clinical data to explore host-microbe interactions and therapeutic optimization in inflammatory conditions.
