About the Lab
Professor Young-Bin Park's research lab specializes in advanced nanomaterials and their applications in thermal management and flexible electronics. The lab focuses on developing novel nanofluids, such as CuO-graphene oxide nanocomposite-based nanofluids, to enhance critical heat flux in boiling heat transfer systems, aiming for sustainable and efficient thermal solutions. Concurrently, the lab pioneers bioinspired flexible electronic skins with high sensitivity to multimodal mechanical stimuli, leveraging microstructured architectures and carbon nanotubes for next-generation wearable sensors and robotics. The research bridges nanomaterial synthesis, functional device design, and real-world applications in energy, healthcare, and smart systems.

15Poly(dopamine)-treated graphene oxide/poly(vinyl alcohol) ("dG-O/PVA") composite films were made and characterized. G-O was modified with poly(dopamine) in aqueous solution and then chemically reduced to yield poly(dopamine)-treated reduced G-O.
