About the Lab
Professor Young Jin Kim's research lab specializes in biomedical materials and translational bioengineering, focusing on stimuli-responsive polymers for cell manipulation, cancer metastasis mechanisms involving selectin-mediated adhesion, and the biological effects of environmental exposures such as electromagnetic fields. The lab integrates advanced materials science with molecular oncology and medical imaging to develop smart biomaterials and understand disease progression at the cellular and molecular levels.
