Professor Young Nam Woo's research lab specializes in urological oncology, with a focus on the molecular pathology of bladder cancer, particularly the prognostic significance of p53 and Bcl-2 protein expressions. 15We investigated the Bcl-2 and P53 protein expressions in 89 patients with bladder cancers using immunohistochemical analysis. In superficial tumors, the times of tumor recurrence and progression were significantly shorter in the P53-positive group than in the negative group (p < 0.005, p < 0.05, respectively).
