About the Lab

Professor Youngjin Cho's research lab specializes in the design and development of advanced functional materials for biomedical and environmental applications. Key research directions include the synthesis of fluorine-free, amphiphilic block copolymers for anti-fouling coatings and protein-resistant surfaces, the development of monoclonal antibodies for mycotoxin detection, and the investigation of DNA adducts formed by endogenous and exogenous aldehydes using NMR spectroscopy. The lab also explores immunomodulatory polysaccharides from natural sources, such as ginseng, to evaluate their clinical potential in enhancing immune function.
