About the Lab
Professor Yun-Dae Han's research lab specializes in translational cancer immunology and molecular diagnostics, with a focus on identifying and validating novel biomarkers for early detection and immunotherapy of colorectal cancer. The lab investigates immune evasion mechanisms in advanced tumors, particularly the role of NK and NKT cells in tumor surveillance, and develops innovative vaccine strategies targeting antigen-presenting cells to restore anti-tumor immunity. Additionally, the lab pioneers non-invasive liquid biopsy approaches using stool and blood DNA methylation markers—especially SDC2 methylation—for early diagnosis and risk stratification of colorectal cancer.
