>통합교육을 담당하는 주체인 유아교사의 통합에 대한 인식을 알아보기 위해서 선행연구들을 바탕으로 통합교육의 긍정적 혜택과 부정적인 영향 그리고 통합 프로그램 실행 과정에서의 역할과 관련된 교사들의 인식을 조사하였다. 이를 위해서 국공립 유치원과 어린이집 83개 기관의 유아교사 218명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였으며, 분석 결과 유아교사들은 통합의 혜택에 대해 높은 수준의 긍정적 인식을 보였으나, 부정적 영향에서는 보통 정도의 중간적인 입장을 나타냈다. 교사의 교수 경력이 높거나 장애관련 교육 이수을 이수하거나 혹은 통합지원교사가 배치되어 있는 경우 통합의 혜택에 대해 더 높은 긍정도를 보였다. 프로그램 실행 과정 면에서 통합 프로그램의 계획과 실시를 위한 시간과 장애유아에 대한 지식의 부족을 주요한 문제로 인식하고 있었으며, 교수경력통합 경험과 장애 관련 교육 유무 등의 교사 변인에 따라 집단 간 차이를 나타내기도 하였다. 분석 결과들에 근거해서 추후 방안들이 논의되었다. <k

특수교육을 받고 졸업한 장애학생들의 성인기 실업과 독립적인 생활 운영 능력 결여·사회적 경험의 제한성·지역사회 활동 참여의 열악성·평균 보다 높은 범죄율 등의 문제를 해결하기 위한 학령기에서 성인기로 전환 시기에 대한 지원이 강조되었다. 취업과 관련해서 소외될 가능성이 있는 중도장애인에게 있어 취업은 재정적뿐만 아니라 권리적인 보장 측면에서 고려되어야 한다. 따라서 이들에 대한 전환 계획과 그 실행은 특히 더 강조되고 있다. 전반적인 영역에서 장기간 연속적인 지원을 요하는 중도장애 학생의 성인기로의 성공적인 전환을 위한 그리고 취업을 가능하게 하기 위한 전환의 구성요인과 그 절차·구체적인 교수 내용 및 방법 등 전환과 관련된 전반적 내용을 탐색해 보았다. 결론적으로 중도장애인의 전환의 성공을 위해 지속적으로 강조되어야 할 방향을 평생 교육과 직업·주거·지역사회 내의 관계성·자기 옹호 기술면에서 제시해 보았다.
