About the Lab
Professor Yunwoo Ko's research lab specializes in head and neck surgery, with a strong focus on otorhinolaryngologic diseases, thyroid cancer biology, and advanced surgical techniques for head and neck malignancies. The lab investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer aggressiveness—particularly in follicular thyroid cancer—while also exploring innovative, minimally invasive surgical approaches such as gasless endoscopic and robotic-assisted neck dissections.
