About the role

Nubint Expert is a service we are preparing in which subject experts review, edit and translate researchers' manuscripts themselves. We are looking for editors in Economics & Business who can correct the grammar, vocabulary and style of English manuscripts and format them to a journal's submission guidelines — keeping the author's meaning while making the text easy for the journal's readers to follow.

What you will do

  • Correct grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure in English manuscripts in Economics & Business
  • Bring style and terminology in line with the conventions of the field, and leave comments for the author where a sentence is ambiguous
  • Format the manuscript, references, figures and tables to the target journal's submission guidelines
  • With experience, also take on second-pass checks of manuscripts edited by other editors

Who we are looking for

  • Strong academic English writing (native or equivalent)
  • A master's degree or higher in a field related to Economics & Business, or experience in academic editing
  • Familiarity with editing tools such as Word Track Changes and with academic styles such as APA or Chicago
  • Experience working with journal submission guidelines is a plus

Why you will enjoy this work

  • Be among the first to read and shape new research in Economics & Business
  • Focus on turning manuscripts into submittable text while keeping the author's meaning
  • Work remotely
