Copyediting Reviewer

About the role

We are looking for someone to take the last look at edited manuscripts before they go back to authors. The work is to catch errors the editor missed, check that terms and notation are consistent, and check formatting such as references and table and figure numbering.

What you will do

• Find remaining grammar, spelling and punctuation errors in edited manuscripts
• Check consistency of terms, abbreviations, numbers and citation style
• Make sure the editor's changes have not altered the author's meaning
• Summarize recurring mistakes and share feedback with editors

Who we are looking for

• Experience editing or proofreading English academic manuscripts
• Working knowledge of academic styles such as APA and Chicago
• An eye for small differences
• A master's degree or higher is a plus
