Professor Dong Hee Lim's research lab specializes in ophthalmic and vision science, focusing on the intersection of artificial intelligence, biomedical imaging, and population health. The lab investigates the early detection and risk prediction of ocular and systemic diseases—particularly cardiovascular disease and myopia—using multimodal data, including fundus photographs, clinical records, and genetic factors. A key research direction involves leveraging AI and statistical modeling, such as Bayesian network meta-analysis and Cox regression, to evaluate ophthalmic interventions and long-term health outcomes.
