研究室紹介
Professor Goo Yeong Cho's research lab specializes in cardiovascular imaging and heart failure management, with a focus on echocardiographic phenotypes, diastolic and systolic dysfunction, and the impact of comorbidities such as diabetes mellitus on cardiac outcomes. The lab investigates advanced imaging techniques—including tissue Doppler imaging, 2D speckle tracking, and cardiac MRI—to assess ventricular dyssynchrony, strain, and response to therapies like ARNI in heart failure with reduced ejection fraction. Additionally, the lab explores non-invasive predictors of cardiac events using cardiopulmonary exercise testing and evaluates the hemodynamic and functional implications of pacemaker pacing sites. The integration of echocardiographic biomarkers with clinical outcomes underscores the lab’s translational approach to improving risk stratification and personalized treatment in heart failure.

15We aimed to investigate the sex differences in associations of diabetes mellitus (DM) with echocardiographic phenotypes and clinical outcomes of heart failure (HF). We studied 4,180 patients admitted for acute HF between 2009 and 2016 (median follow-up, 31.7 months) whose left ventricular global longitudinal strain (LV-GLS) data were available. Patients were compared by sex and DM. Structural equation model (SEM) analysis was performed to evaluate the moderating effects of two causal paths, via
