Professor Hak Jong Lee's research lab specializes in advancing medical imaging and targeted cancer therapy, with a focus on improving the diagnosis and treatment of genitourinary cancers—particularly prostate and lung cancer. The lab integrates molecular imaging, ultrasound technology, and artificial intelligence to enhance the accuracy of cancer detection and to develop safer, more effective therapeutic strategies. Key research directions include the development of ultrasound contrast agents for molecular imaging, image-based classification systems using MRI, and innovative drug delivery systems such as pH-sensitive nanoparticles and immune-microbubble complexes. The lab also explores the application of artificial intelligence in interpreting medical imaging data to improve clinical decision-making.
