Professor Hyun Young Kim's research lab focuses on advancing biomedical engineering and regenerative medicine through innovative materials and clinical applications. Key research directions include the development of bioresorbable electronic surgical meshes for real-time postoperative monitoring and targeted drug delivery, the investigation of environmental pollutants—particularly fine dust—on neurological health and systemic inflammation, and the application of advanced imaging and minimally invasive techniques in periodontal regeneration and congenital disease prognosis.
