Professor Hyun-Jin Kim's research lab focuses on the intersection of environmental health, chronic disease epidemiology, and dermatological disorders, with a strong emphasis on population-based studies in Korean and international contexts. Key research directions include the impact of air pollution on renal function, the role of genetic factors in vitiligo, and the psychological and physiological consequences of lifestyle-related behaviors such as smartphone overuse. The lab also investigates clinical management strategies for diabetes and hypertension, particularly in high-risk populations, and explores innovative approaches to burn wound care, including nanotechnology-based skin regeneration.
