Professor In-Seok Song's research lab specializes in the intersection of dental and medical imaging, artificial intelligence, and clinical diagnostics. The lab focuses on developing deep learning and machine learning models for automated detection and segmentation of oral and maxillofacial pathologies, including periodontal bone loss, maxillary sinus lesions, and skeletal maturation. A cDNA clone for glutaminyl cyclase was isolated from a human pituitary cDNA library and the complete DNA sequence determined. This study hypothesized that the intake of coffee would increase the prevalence of tooth loss in Korean adults.
