Professor Jae Hong No's research lab specializes in molecular oncology and cancer biomarkers, with a focus on identifying and validating non-invasive diagnostic and prognostic markers in gynecological cancers, particularly ovarian cancer. The lab investigates key signaling pathways such as Nrf2/Keap1 in cancer progression and therapy resistance, as well as the role of immune-related molecules like sCD163 and cancer-associated antigens such as CA19-9 and CA125. Current research also explores the impact of viral oncoproteins, including high-risk HPV genotypes, in head and neck carcinomas, integrating molecular pathology with clinical outcomes.

BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to investigate the prognostic significance of serum sCD163 in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. METHODS: Preoperative serum samples from 55 patients with epithelial ovarian cancers were analyzed for sCD163 using a commercially available enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit.
