Professor Jang Hwan Kwon's research lab specializes in power electronics and electrical machine control, with a focus on advanced modulation techniques for multi-leg voltage source converters and multilevel inverters in high-power applications. The lab also explores hardware-based cryptography using nanoscale physical unclonable functions for secure Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Additionally, the lab investigates sensorless control strategies for induction machines, particularly rotor flux estimation using observer-based methods. Recent work extends into biomedical applications, including the use of intravesical therapies for neurogenic bladder disorders.

This patient group was refractory to all previous oral pharmacologic therapy, yet some patients responded with significant improvement in bladder capacity and continence function shortly after RTX administration.
