Professor Jeong Hyun Park's research lab specializes in regenerative medicine and molecular oncology, with a focus on developing novel therapeutic agents for cancer and degenerative diseases. The lab investigates epigenetic modulators, such as synthetic HDAC inhibitors, to target cancer cell proliferation and apoptosis, while also exploring stem cell-derived conditioned media and growth factors to promote tissue regeneration, particularly in hair loss and cardiac hypertrophy. We have developed previously a class of synthetic hybrid histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors, which were built from hydroxamic acid of trichostatin A and pyridyl ring of MS-275.
