Professor Jeong Woo-kyung's research lab specializes in medical image analysis, with a focus on advancing non-invasive diagnostic techniques for liver diseases and oncological imaging. The lab develops innovative imaging biomarkers using elastography, radiomics, and deep learning to improve the assessment of liver fibrosis, portal hypertension, and liver tumors such as hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma. A key emphasis is placed on translating these technologies into clinical practice through accurate, automated segmentation and quantitative analysis of abdominal CT and MRI scans. The lab also explores the integration of imaging with genomics to identify imaging surrogates of molecular phenotypes.
