Professor Jin Ho Lee's research lab focuses on systems biology and molecular mechanisms underlying metabolic regulation and cell cycle control, with a strong emphasis on omics approaches such as transcriptomics and proteomics to dissect metabolic engineering in *E. coli* and cellular responses to DNA damage. The lab also investigates clinical outcomes in spinal disorders, particularly failed back surgery syndrome and lumbar disc herniation, integrating molecular biology with clinical research to evaluate patient-reported outcomes and the efficacy of integrative therapies like pharmacopuncture. Their work bridges fundamental biological mechanisms with translational applications in metabolic disease and orthopedic medicine.

15We compared the transcriptome, proteome, and nucleotide sequences between the parent strain Escherichia coli W3110 and the L-threonine-overproducing mutant E. coli TF5015. DNA macroarrays were used to measure mRNA levels for all of the genes of E. coli, and two-dimensional gel electrophoresis was used to compare protein levels. Matsumura bark methanol extract (PYE) on scald-induced dorsal skin wounds in rats. Scalds were produced in Sprague-Dawley rats with 100°C water and treated with 5% and 20% PYE (using Vaseline as a base), silver sulfadiazine (SSD), and Vaseline once a day for 21 days, beginning 24 hours after scald by treatment group allocation.
