Professor Jin-Woo Kim's research lab specializes in the development of advanced biomedical technologies that integrate artificial intelligence, nanomaterials, and medical imaging for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. The lab focuses on leveraging convolutional neural networks and Bayesian deep learning for automated and accurate cephalometric analysis in orthodontics, while also exploring the photothermal antimicrobial potential of carbon nanotubes for next-generation nanotherapies. Additionally, the lab investigates molecular mechanisms of liver carcinogenesis and the design of functional nanomaterials for precision medicine. These interdisciplinary efforts aim to bridge computational intelligence with clinical diagnostics and nanomedicine.
