研究室紹介
Professor Ju-hee Kim's research lab focuses on translational and clinical health sciences, with a strong emphasis on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based interventions in nursing and reproductive health. The lab investigates mobile learning interventions for healthcare professionals, infertility-related psychosocial factors, and pediatric population health using large-scale national databases. Additionally, the lab explores molecular mechanisms in cancer therapy and neuronal differentiation, integrating biological research with clinical applications.

15PURPOSE: A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the effects of smartphone-based mobile learning for nurses and nursing students. METHODS: Electronic literature search of PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, SCOPUS, Web of Science, ProQuest Central, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), and Educational Resource Information Center (ERIC) was conducted. Two authors independently reviewed empirical studies for inclusion and extracted the design, sam
Bioassay-guided investigation of the stems of Callistemon lanceolatus led to the isolation of five compounds such as betulinic acid (1), pyracrenic acid (2), arjunolic acid (3), catechin (4), and piceatannol (5). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral studies as well as by comparison with literature data. Elastase inhibition and DPPH radical scavenging activities wereinvestigated for the isolated compounds. Among these, pyracrenic acid (2) was identified as a potent elastase i
PURPOSE: This study was conducted to examine the level of infertility stress, marital adjustment, depression, and quality of life in infertile couples and assess the actor and partner effects in these areas using the actor-partner interdependence model. DESIGN: Cross-sectional study. METHOD: Participants were 121 infertile couples. After pilot study, data were collected from November 2012 to March 2013 using the following questionnaires: the Fertility Quality of Life, Fertility Problem Inventory
BACKGROUND: An adequate large-scale pediatric cohort based on nationwide administrative data is lacking in Korea. PURPOSE: This study established the National Investigation of Birth Cohort in Korea study 2008 (NICKs-2008) based on data from a nationwide population-based health screening program and data on healthcare utilization for children. METHODS: The NICKs-2008 study consisted of the Korean National Health Insurance System (NHIS) and the National Health Screening Program for Infants and Chi
BACKGROUND: Photodynamic therapy (PDT) contains a photosensitizing process, which includes cellular uptake of photosensitizer and delivery of light to the target. ATP-binding cassette subfamily G2 (ABCG2) regulates endogenous protoporphyrin levels. In human colon cancers, it is not fully examined the role of ABCG2 in porphyrin-based photodynamic therapy. METHODS: SW480 and HT29 cells were selected because they showed low and high ABCG2 expression levels, respectively. Pyropheophorbid-a (PPa) was
Excitatory stimuli are known to be a potent regulator for induction of neuronal differentiation. Calbindin-D28K buffers intracellular Ca2+ and modifies synaptic functions in neurons. However, the effects of calbindin-D28K on the regulation of activity-induced neuronal differentiation and related biochemical modifications remain unsolved. In the present study, by a gain-of-function study with retroviral vector system and dicer-generated small interfering RNA (d-siRNA) to effectively knock down th
BACKGROUND: Breastfeeding is recommended due to its beneficial effects on human health. However, the effect of breastfeeding on health differs, resulting in various childhood diseases. OBJECTIVE: Our purpose was to investigate the association between breastfeeding at least in the first 4 months and the subsequent development of 15 certainly defined childhood diseases until 10 years of age, the all-cause hospitalization rate and growth at 6-7 years of age. METHODS: Participants included propensit
BACKGROUND: The association between dyslipidemia and atopic dermatitis in children is unclear. This study investigated the association between dyslipidemia and atopic dermatitis in children by analysis of disease onset, risk factors, and disease severity. METHODS: Subset I examined 7-year-old children in elementary school (n = 248), and Subset II was a retrospective long-term follow-up hospital-based study (n = 52 725) conducted from 1986 to 2016 that used propensity score matching. In the Subse
OBJECTIVE: Depression has been associated with alexithymic features. However, few studies have investigated the differences in the general symptoms of patients with depressive disorders according to the presence of alexithymia. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between alexithymia and symptoms experienced by patients with clinically diagnosed depressive disorders. METHODS: A chart review of patients who were evaluated using the Korean version of the 20-item Toronto Ale
