Professor Jun Seong Park's research lab focuses on mitochondrial biology, redox signaling, and cellular stress responses, with a particular emphasis on reactive oxygen species (ROS)-driven pathways in disease and aging. The lab investigates the role of mitochondrial dysfunction and ROS-induced ROS release (RIRR) in cellular viability and explores therapeutic strategies targeting bioenergetic pathways in cancer and viral infections. Additionally, the lab examines natural compounds like EGCG and bioactive molecules such as BIOGF1K for their cytoprotective, anti-inflammatory, and skin-protective effects, particularly in the context of UV protection and skin hydration.
