Professor Jung Hwan Park's research lab focuses on translational biomedical engineering and clinical nephrology, with a strong emphasis on chronic kidney disease (CKD) pathophysiology, bioimpedance-based fluid status monitoring in dialysis patients, and molecular mechanisms underlying renal and liver cancers. The lab integrates experimental biology, microfluidic technology for point-of-care diagnostics, and clinical imaging to develop innovative solutions for disease detection, monitoring, and prognosis. Key research directions include the role of uric acid in CKD progression, wireless thermal lysis systems for nucleic acid extraction, and immunohistochemical biomarkers such as ARID1A in clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

Protease Re, a new cytoplasmic endoprotease in Escherichia coli, was purified to homogeneity by conventional procedures, using [3H]casein as the substrate. This paper suggests a PM10 forecast model using Long Short Term Memory (LSTM). Data used for the study are collected from Seoul, Korea for the period of January 2005 up to March 2016. As the collected data has a lot of noise, the moving average technique is used to preprocess data for smoothing.
