Professor Min soo Park's research lab focuses on translational and clinical research in oncology, particularly in soft tissue sarcomas such as hemangiopericytoma/soft tissue sarcoma (HPC/SFT), aiming to identify molecular targets for personalized, targeted therapies. The lab also investigates cardioprotective pathways involving the nitric oxide and cGMP signaling axis, with an emphasis on novel therapeutic strategies for heart failure and ischemia/reperfusion injury. Additionally, the lab conducts clinical studies in neonatal sepsis diagnostics, ophthalmic surgery (e.g., endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy and entropion repair), and rare congenital disorders such as aplasia cutis congenita with complex multisystem anomalies.

15With many novel targeted therapies currently in development for soft tissue sarcomas, a better understanding of the molecular pathogenesis and aberrations of HPC/SFT is needed to determine optimal therapeutic agents. Identifying appropriate targets and designing rational prospective clinical trials will not only improve treatment of HPC/SFT but will also lead to a new paradigm of personalized, targeted therapy.

AIM: We investigated the significance of the calculated delta neutrophil index (DNI) as a diagnostic factor for neonatal sepsis. METHODS: In retrospective study, 24 infants were diagnosed with blood culture-proven sepsis, and 48 non-septic neonates matched for gestational age, and birth weight served as controls. PURPOSE: To evaluate the efficacy of endoscopic endonasal primary conjunctivodacryocystorhinostomy (CDCR) and revision CDCR after primary CDCR. In our study, fracture size was a better predictive factor for postoperative enophthalmos than preoperative exophthalmometric measurement. With our method, postoperative enophthalmos can be predicted more conveniently in a clinical setting, and decisions regarding the timing of early surgical reduction were made easier.
