Professor Min Woo Lee's research lab specializes in advancing image-guided interventions and artificial intelligence applications in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) management. The lab focuses on improving the accuracy and efficacy of percutaneous ablation techniques—particularly radiofrequency ablation (RFA)—through fusion imaging technologies that integrate real-time ultrasound with CT/MRI. A key research direction involves developing and validating deep learning models for automated detection of small HCCs in hepatobiliary phase MRI, enhancing early diagnosis and treatment planning.
