Professor Moon-Soo Lee's research lab focuses on neuropsychiatry and behavioral health, with a strong emphasis on understanding the neurobiological and psychological underpinnings of mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, menopausal symptoms, and internet gaming addiction. The lab employs neuroimaging, clinical trials, and psychometric assessments to explore brain-behavior relationships, particularly in the prefrontal cortex and limbic regions, and to evaluate pharmacological interventions like testosterone and bromocriptine. Research also extends to behavioral patterns in adolescents, examining the interplay between internet use, gaming, and psychological well-being. The lab integrates clinical neuroscience with public health perspectives to improve quality of life across the lifespan.

The HR population showed increased activity, presumably indicating greater compensatory deployment, in relation to both the TD and the PBD, in the key cognition and emotion-processing regions, such as the DLPFC, insula, and parietal cortex.
