Professor Mylee Noh's research lab focuses on dermatological conditions with an emphasis on pigmentation disorders, benign melanocytic neoplasms, and cosmetic dermatology. The lab investigates the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying nevi and melanoma, particularly acral lentiginous melanoma, while also exploring non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments for common aesthetic concerns such as infraorbital dark circles and enlarged pilosebaceous pores. A key area of clinical research involves evaluating the efficacy and safety of advanced therapies like 308-nm excimer laser and autologous fat transplantation in pediatric and adult patients. Melanocytic nevi are a benign clonal proliferation of cells expressing the melanocytic phenotype, with heterogeneous clinical and molecular characteristics.
