Professor Sang Yun Ha's research lab specializes in molecular oncology and translational cancer research, with a focus on identifying molecular drivers and prognostic biomarkers in gastrointestinal and thoracic cancers. The lab investigates oncogenic mutations, tumor microenvironment components such as cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), and signaling pathways involving receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) like EGFR and MET in cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), and lung adenocarcinoma. A key research direction involves translating molecular findings into clinical applications through the development of prognostic models and targeted therapeutic strategies.
