研究室紹介

Professor Sangho Lee's research lab focuses on molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying physiological and pathological processes, with key interests in protein conformational dynamics at interfaces, stress-induced reproductive toxicity, and the role of cellular machinery such as the ESCRT complex in intracellular trafficking and protein degradation. The lab also investigates systemic responses to disease models, including sepsis-induced hepatic dysfunction and genetic factors in endocrine disorders like hypoparathyroidism. Their work combines biochemical, molecular, and in vivo approaches to understand disease mechanisms and identify potential therapeutic targets.

Changes and Roles of Secondary Structures of Whey Protein for the Formation of Protein Membrane at Soy Oil/Water Interface under High-Pressure Homogenization

SJR Q1Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry

The conformational changes of whey proteins upon adsorption at the soy oil/water interface were investigated using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Significant changes were observed in the bands assigned to beta-sheets and alpha-helix structures following the adsorption of proteins at the oil/water interface. The remaining interfacial proteins after Tween 20 desorption revealed small changes in beta-sheet and alpha-helical structures, whereas in the desorbed whey proteins the uno

SUPPRESSION OF HEPATIC CYTOCHROME P450-MEDIATED DRUG METABOLISM DURING THE LATE STAGE OF SEPSIS IN RATS
Sangho Lee, Sun‐Mee Lee
SJR Q1Shock

The effects of polymicrobial sepsis on the activity and gene expression of hepatic microsomal cytochrome P450 (CYP) were examined. Rats were subjected to polymicrobial sepsis by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP). Liver and blood samples were taken 2, 6, and 24 h after CLP. The serum aminotransferase levels and lipid peroxidation increased 24 h after CLP. The hepatic concentrations of reduced glutathione and total CYP content decreased 24 h after CLP. The CYP1A1 activity and its protein level dec
