Professor So-yeon Park's research lab focuses on infectious disease epidemiology, antimicrobial resistance, and clinical outcomes in vulnerable populations, with a particular emphasis on bacterial and viral respiratory infections. The lab investigates the impact of antibiotic therapy, mobile phone use on adolescent mental health, and post-discharge management in patients with emerging infectious diseases such as SARS-CoV-2 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. 15Staphylococcus aureus is a formidable bacterial pathogen that is responsible for infections in humans and various species of wild, companion, and agricultural animals. This study examined characteristics between Chinese Americans and Korean Americans who received treatment for alcohol use problems, using case records of 103 Chinese Americans and 108 Korean Americans. Findings show that the majority of Chinese Americans and Korean Americans were referred for treatment by the legal system and denied having alcohol problems.
